How this may affect you

If you live on or close to the route of the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final, the road closures that take place are likely to affect you. From 11-13th September, only the roads inside Hyde Park will be closed. The closure of Hyde Park Corner on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September will have an impact on the traffic in large parts of Central London. If you intend to travel into the affected areas you will need to plan your route carefully or consider using public transport as an alternative.

Why are the roads being closed

The routes must be made secure and cleared of any vehicles to help assure the safety of spectators, local residents and participants. Roads on the route need to be closed prior to the start of the event so that all event safety preparations can be carried out. As soon as the last participants have passed through the route we will begin the process of reopening roads. Any vehicle left on the route or parked in a suspended parking bay will be removed. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.
