Age-Group World Championship

Up to 5,000 of the World's best International Age Group amateur athletes will be competing to become World Champions in their respective 5 year age groups. With more than 40 countries expected to be represented, this will create an amazing atmosphere in and around Hyde Park.

The Age Group World Championship races will be spread throughout the five days of competition, starting with the Aquathlon World Championship on Wednesday 11 September 2013. Medals will be awarded for each category at a spectacular closing ceremony on Sunday 15 September.

Entry Info

All Age Group athletes looking to race in the World Championships are required to qualify for their national teams, with many National Federations holding qualification races. Please contact your National Federation for more details on qualification races.

As the host nation Great Britain has 25 slots available per Age-Group. Athletes wishing to represent Great Britain should visit the Age-Group section on the BTF website for details of how to qualify.

If you are not eligible to compete in the Age Group World Championship races because you are either not a member of a triathlon federation or don’t fulfil the qualification requirements you still have the chance to compete in the Open Age Group Races. Click here for more details.

National Federations use their respective qualifying rules to decide who can race at the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final London. Every country has a quota of 20 persons per age group (Aquathlon, Sprint and Standard distance triathlon) across both genders. Age Group athletes can compete in all three races (Aquathlon, Sprint, Standard). The 48h rule will not be applied.

Athletes pay their entry fee to their National Federation, who in turn registers the athlete and transfers the fee to the local organising committee (LOC). Please do not approach the LOC with person invoice requests.
